NHS Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wishes to commission an Urgent Care Centre Service located at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.

Within Central London and North West London, the vision is to create an urgent and emergency care system that is capable of delivering equitable access to the right care first time for the majority of patients through a networked model, with services provided along robust pathways 24/7.The CCG is seeking providers with the appropriate capability and capacity to deliver a high quality, integrated service.

The aims of the St Mary’s Centre Urgent Care Centre service are:

  • To deliver excellent and sustainable clinical outcomes to patients including safe and effective treatment for patients with a variety of non-life threatening health conditions, injuries or illnesses within a community-based, primary care-led environment.
  • To deliver an exceptional patient experience which includes good customer service, being treated with dignity and respect, polite and compassionate staff, efficient processes, personalised care, pleasant and accessible surroundings, timely treatment and safe services.
  • To deliver a value for money service where care is delivered efficiently as well as effectively.

The contract duration will be 3 (three) years, with one optional two year extension. It is intended that the new service will commence from mid April 2016. The total value of the contract over the 3 years is estimated at circa. £16.8M. Note: the contract value is based on predicted activity levels and is inclusive of performance payments.

Recognising that this service falls within Part B of the Public Contract Regulations 2006, the Contracting Authority has designed a bespoke procurement process akin to the Open Procedure, involving a single-stage procurement.
