description

The CCA scheme is a UK-wide voluntary scheme that allows businesses in 53 eligible energy-intensive sectors to receive a reduction in the Climate Change Levy if they sign up to stretching energy efficiency targets agreed with government. Over 9,000 facilities grouped into around 3,500 individual agreements are signed up to the scheme who have agreed targets that run to March 2025.

The Environment Agency administers the scheme across the UK on behalf of Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through a bespoke IT system, namely he CCA Register. This CCA register holds information for each site, its operator's and its progress against targets. The requirements for a register are set out in regulations. The CCA register is used by sector associations and the regulator to maintain agreements and report performance against the targets; individual participants may also view their information within the CCA register.

This requirement was for the provision of Support, Maintenance and Hosting agreement to the Climate Change Agreements (CCA) register system.
