Housing Need and GTAA Studies

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is seeking tenders for two studies it wishes to commission.

Lot 1: Housing Needs Study

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is seeking to commission a Housing Needs Study ("HNS") with a view to developing a more detailed and robust evidence base to support its new Housing and Planning policies and strategies. In commissioning the study, it will be better placed to determine local housing priorities and effectively target limited resources in the coming years.

Lot 2: Gypsy and Travelling Showpeople Pitch Assessment

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council wish to commission a report on the future requirements for gypsy and traveller and travelling showpeople accommodation in the Borough. The report will provide robust evidence to support the planning policies being developed within the emerging Local Plan and for planning/enforcement applications and appeals. The primary purpose of the gypsy and travelling showpeople pitch assessment (GTAA) report is to conclude on a reasoned and reasonable requirement for gypsy and traveller pitches and for travelling showpeople plots, both public and private, for the Local Plan period 2013- 2033.

Tenderers are able to submit responses to either of the opportunities, or both if they feel they have the required experience in both fields.

Tenderers submitting a proposal for both opportunities should provide the cost for each, and indicate the level of discount available to the Council if both contracts are awarded.
