description
The purpose of the service is to provide a free, independent, culturally sensitive PPR Service to Relevant Persons (RP) (over 18) who are deprived of their liberty subject to standard authorisations under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The provider must be able to provide a service to individuals from the diverse communities within Leicester City either in a hospital or a care home.
A PPR will ensure that in accordance with section 7.25 (DoLS CoP) the PPR will maintain regular contact with the relevant person (RP) to ensure that the relevant person’s best interests are safeguarded.
An RP will be supported in all matters relating to the MCA DoLS, including, requesting a review, using an organisation’s complaints procedure on the RP’s behalf or making an application to the Court of Protection that is independent of the commissioners and service providers.
This is a notice in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74 Type of services – Health and social services under the Light Touch Regime (LTR)
