description
Wiltshire Council would like to develop and commission a residential care accreditation scheme for adults with a learning disability / autism and complex needs running from (1st April 2016 to 31st March 2019) with the potential for up to two 12 month extensions. Wiltshire Council's intention is to only place people with the most complex needs in residential care through this new accreditation scheme. Providers who can evidence that they can provide the support and environments to meet the needs of people with the most complex needs will be accredited. It is intended that services will be commissioned on the basis of being able to achieve positive outcomes in terms of supporting individuals and improving their quality of life. For some people services will be commissioned on a time-limited basis on the understanding that people will be actively supported to move into more independent settings where appropriate. Services will be available 24 hours a day, 365/6 days a year and will only be made available for customers eligible for 24 hour accommodation and support. Any providers who do not wish to apply or are not successful can choose to remain on Wiltshire's existing accreditation scheme for residential care homes supporting adults with learning disabilities / mental health needs / physical and sensory Impairment. The opportunity will open from Monday 28 October 2015 Providers should submit their expression of interest via www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk no later than 12:00 Midday on Friday 20 November 2015. Any organisation that does not submit an expression of interest cannot be considered for the scheme. Also, any submissions after the deadline has passed cannot be considered. Documents relating to this opportunity will be available from 23 November 2015. If you are experiencing difficulties expressing interest in this opportunity, please contact dcsdisabilities@wiltshire.gov.uk Organisations expressing an interest will be required to complete an application pack to be considered for selection.
