4016/CYMRU/RH/24 - Cobot Arm Cyclic Demonstrator
The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Cobot Arm Cyclic Demonstrator on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre CYMRU, Chester Road, Chester, CH4 0DH
Scope of Requirement
The AMRC Cymru are looking to purchase a robotic cyclic demonstrator. The primary use of the demonstrator will be as an educational piece to showcase to businesses and project partners the advantages of digital, robotics and automation technologies. However, the demonstrator will also need to act as a platform for robotics research work. The robotic demonstrator should be linked to a cobot arm.
The technologies to be shown need to include elements of:
| • | 3D printed elements (added value components such as printed fixtures, guides, fingers grips etc.) |
| • | Robotic arm (to show how a robotic arm can add value to existing processes. This robotic arm needs to be able to disconnect from the demonstrator for the purposes of other works) |
| • | Machine vision (using computer vision to add value to the process such as, but not exclusively, inspection and data capture) |
| • | Data (data from the system needs to be able to be captured for consumption by other systems) |
| • | Dashboarding / Human machine Interfaces (Data from the demonstrator to be disseminated in human readable format). |
