Digital Connect - North East Derbyshire

North East Derbyshire District Council is seeking to procure an experienced and suitably qualified company to deliver the following project aims:

To address digital exclusion with people aged 50+ within North East Derbyshire. The project will offer digital awareness, advice, training and support to people over 50+ who are digitally excluded, equipping older people with the skills and confidence to effectively use IT to enhance their health and wellbeing and access support, information, services and networks.

Digital exclusion has been identified as a key priority for older people, following analysis of quantitative data and local intelligence from the voluntary and statutory sector and consultation with local residents. This work aligns with the priorities of the North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) Older People's Strategy, NEDDC Digital Strategy, North East Derbyshire & Bolsover Place Alliance Ageing Well Programme, Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire & Bolsover Financial Inclusion Group and the North East Derbyshire & Chesterfield Feeling Connected Project.
