Soft Market Test - Emergency Short Term Accommodation

The Housing Solutions service provides emergency short term accommodation to households who are homeless in Sheffield as part of their statutory duties. There has been an increase in homelessness during the Covid Pandemic and the service is using a higher amount of hotel accommodation to meet this need. We estimate there is a need to provide a certain level of hotel accommodation for the next two years, and as a result we are planning to undertake a procurement exercise to ask that interested accommodation providers submit tenders to work with us.

We are looking for a range of accommodation options for approx. 100 households within Sheffield. This will be single men or women, or couples. We do not envisage placing families into this type of accommodation.
