The UK Space Agency has a requirement to place a Concession Contract for the 2021 UK Space Conference.
Due to the uncertainties wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Organising Committee has decided to run the 2021 event in either July or September as an entirely virtual conference.
Background:
The UK Space Conference is a high-profile national event, including influential and knowledgeable speakers from across the sector. These include UK government ministers, international and UK based academics and senior industry representatives. It is held biennially and is led by the UK Space Agency on behalf of the whole UK space community.
The Conference presents a platform for government, industry and academia to engage with each other, as well as with delegates from across the world, exploring the connections between the space sector and other sectors. In 2019 there were over 115 exhibitors, 369 speakers, 29 sponsors and 2000 delegates.
The chief aims of the event are:
| • | To bring together representatives of the whole UK space community to build links, share opportunities and address mutual concerns |
| • | To provide a high-profile platform for policy announcements, industry priorities and perspectives and key innovations and research outcomes |
| • | To increase knowledge at all levels on national space policy and the UK space programme |
| • | To demonstrate global leadership and create opportunities for international collaboration and investment, attracting a global audience |
The estimated value of this procurement is £100K- £170K, with all income expected to be met through sponsorship and/or charges to exhibitors and delegates.
