description

The Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) is a statutory service provided to meet the assessed needs of disabled people, and/or acute and chronic illness through the provision of equipment.

The service in Herefordshire is a joint health and social care service via a Section 75 agreement, with the local authority acting as lead commissioner.

The service supports around 7000 people per year with approximately 20,000 items of equipment. It delivers, installs, collects, recycles and maintains a wide range of basic and complex equipment.

Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group are considering the future operation of this service in the coming months and wish to engage with the provider market specifically in relation to innovation and managing demand. We are holding a meet the provider /commissioner engagement event on 12th July 2019 please go to the opportunity on www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk to book an appointment.
