description
Digital Catapult is looking for a partner to provide technical monitoring and support for our CreativeXR prototypes.
CreativeXR is an acceleration programme designed for UK teams from the creative and technology sector interested in pushing the boundaries of what immersive technologies can do.
The programme has been designed to allow creative teams to quickly experiment, iterate and bring their immersive project idea to reality. Teams are given tools such as prototype funding, workshops, peer-to-peer learning and access to facilities. Projects also compete for further production funding with the aim of becoming market-ready and pushing the boundaries of what immersive technologies can offer.
To increase confidence in undertaking boundary-pushing R&D, CreativeXR will also engage with technical experts to help develop these experimental prototype builds and support the teams throughout their three month build journey.
We are looking for a company to provide monitoring services throughout the prototype build phase for all 20 projects on the CreativeXR year 3 cohort.
The majority of the projects are likely to be built on either the Unity engine or Unreal Engine. Therefore, we are looking for monitoring services from companies who specialise in supporting the development of immersive projects on these two game engines.
Bidders are required to have a deep understanding of developing for real time game engines and relevant experience in supporting teams in their development process, as well as experience in supporting teams in development of immersive experiences. This includes virtual and augmented reality, audio led experiences, and location based experiences.
