description
The Department for Education (DfE) is supporting the development of women in its pipeline to posts in the Senior Civil Service (SCS). This activity supports both our ambition to improve diversity, and to increase the number of SCS in regional locations. The purpose of this early engagement notice is to notify the market of the DfE's intention to undertake a procurement exercise to identify a suitably qualified supplier to provide training that supports this ambition.
The DfE is seeking to engage with suitably qualified & experienced suppliers to inform the most appropriate route to market.
The requirement is for the supplier to provide a 1 day face to face 'Personal Impact Training Course' across the 6 Department for Education locations across England locations covering:
| - | Understanding own impact in a variety of workplace scenarios |
| - | Deeper understanding of clear and effective personal communication |
| - | Improved confidence |
This training must be delivered in a face to face environment, with a maximum ratio of 1 tutor to 5 trainees. The learning should last no more than 1 day per course. The training is to be delivered over 30 sessions to be completed across the 20/21 financial year.
Venues will be arranged by the Authority in 6 locations:
| - | London |
| - | Sheffield |
| - | Manchester |
| - | Darlington |
| - | Nottingham; and |
| - | Coventry |
Required skills/qualifications of the trainers:
The DfE require trainers to be experienced actors and provide evidence of recognised professional training qualifications, drawing on the techniques used in their professions to improve voice, body language and personal impact. Trainers should have a track record in delivering this learning and development within large public and private organisation (minimum 3 years learning delivery experience).
If the DfE decides to undertake a formal procurement process then this is anticipated to commence in May 2020 through a notice on Contracts Finder notice, with the intention to have a contract awarded by July 2020. These dates are indicative in light of the current COVID-19 climate these have potential to change and or be cancelled. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in any subsequent procurement process nor does it infer any special status on those suppliers who do submit an interest.
Interested suppliers should register on https://education.app.jaggaer.com and look for project reference 3038. Details of how to register and the terms of free registration are provided. Interested suppliers should send an expression of interest message via Project 3038 messaging facility.
