GB-Derby: Specialist Cleaning Services

Derby Homes requires a company to carry out cleaning services out of normal working hours i.e. between 5pm and 8am the following morning, 24 hour weekend cover and 24 hour public holiday cover. There could also be a possibility to provide an occasional service within normal working hours although this would be infrequent and is not the main purpose of the tender.

The requirement will always be within the City of Derby Boundary and could be to any property owned by Derby City Council including: •housing stock - Council Houses;

•public buildings - leisure centres, schools etc;

•Derby Homes' Car Parks, grassed areas, entrances etc;

•communal areas in blocks of flats; or

•any property managed or maintained by Derby Homes

The service provider must:

•attend site within 2 hours of being requested to attend;

•employ staff who are fully competent under the requirements of this contract, those being the safe cleansing of areas soiled by: bodily fluids;

blood;

human faeces;

and also to cover:

needle sweeps;

crime scene cleaning;

flood damage; and

fire damage

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
