Aluminium Alloy Purchase

The University of Sheffield (UoS) on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) wishes to invite tenders for the provision of quality aluminium alloy from an accredited supplier.

The aluminium requirement is for a specialist project that the AMRC is undertaking and is a one-off requirement (not recurring demand). The aluminium will be delivered to the AMRC`s Factory of the Future, Catcliffe.

The Aluminium must meet a specific standard/quality and sizing requirements. This is aligned to the specific project requirements and associated quality assurances that must be obtained.

The supplier must ensure safe working practices particularly in the delivery and off-loading of aluminium materials.

The delivery of aluminium material is critical to the project requirement and suppliers will be assessed on their ability to provide the requirement in full and the earliest opportunity.

This tender is in accordance with our Financial Standing Orders and a Sub-Threshold opportunity.
