EOI for Pre-Employment Checks (PEC) Managed Service

The Department for Transport is publishing an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the potential provision of a Pre-Employment Check Managed Service.

The department is seeking feedback from the market/prospective suppliers, to gauge capacity and capability.

EOI OVERVIEW:

This programme of work is for the full DfT Group which includes the following Agencies; Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Vehicle Classification Agency and Active Travel England. There are currently some differences in the way in which different parts of the organisation conduct on-boarding (including PECs) which we are looking to rationalise.

As part of the on-boarding work, the team that is situated within HR, are assessing whether improvements can be made to the pre-employment check (PEC) process most notably to improve time to hire and reduce costs.

The level of checks required is BASIC DBS.
