description
Open early market engagement - this means that a procurement idea is currently active. It is in the early stage of development and judging interest from potential suppliers.
The Department for Educations (DfE) Schools Offsite Framework (MMC1) expired in January 2024 and the Construction Framework (CF21) is due to expire in November 2025. To continue supporting ongoing requirements for building and construction work past November 2025, DfE has started early strategy planning with a goal to establish most optimal route to the market.
Several options are being explored including the procurement of a framework that delivers both traditional and offsite methods of construction.
DfE wishes to have an early engagement with the market to help inform the above mentioned strategy in a collaborative manner by collecting feedback directly from a wide range of suppliers involved in the construction sector.
We will be conducting a series of early market engagement activities between February and August 2024 which may include, but are not limited to:
| • | Surveys and questionnaires |
| • | 1 to 1 meetings |
| • | Focus groups |
| • | Supplier days |
| • | Webinars |
Feedback from suppliers via these activities will help inform thinking and shape a future procurement strategy.
This is early market engagement for a potential opportunity, as such, DfE is not obligated to run a procurement following this activity and is not liable for any costs associated with participating in this early engagement.
