TMTii 31 - Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Pilots Implementation Partner (CAV-PIP)

In the imminent future, Highways England plan to procure a single contract via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Traffic Management Technology 2 (TMT2) framework, Lot 12 Professional Services, entitled Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Pilots Implementation Partner (CAV-PIP) (reference TMTii 31).

The CAV-PIP contract is for provision of a flexible resource pool of skilled and experienced experts for each of the functional areas outlined below:

• a.ITS-G5, hybrid communications and other telecommunications standards used in the provision of CAV and C-ITS services;
• b.PKI standards;
• c.In-vehicle systems, CAV and C-ITS services (specifically the Amsterdam Group Day One Services);
• d.Traffic data management; and
• e.CAV and C-ITS business models (e.g. value chain mapping for the mobile applications industry, automotive industry, ITS industry, telecoms industry etc.).

The CAV-PIP will undertake Task Orders in relation to each of the projects below:

• a.A2/M2 Connected Corridor and InterCor;
• b.UK CITE;
• c.Freight Platooning;
• d.CAV test beds;
• e.Other implementation and/or transition support services for CAV and C-ITS business change projects.
