The Department for Education (DfE) intends to commission a supplier to provide psychometric services to the Test Development Division of the Standards and Testing Agency in the form of outcomes analysis and technical evidence on the 2018 key stage 2 live science sampling tests.

Psychometrics is a highly specialist area and due to a number of factors resource is currently not available within the Psychometrics team.

Key Deliverables:

Provide the outcome analysis and technical evidence to STA in an agreed format, to enable STA to construct a methodology and outcomes report, for science sampling The analyses required are:
oUtilising the software flexMIRT and the statistical package SPSS, graded response model item response theory and simultaneous latent regression modelling. Converting plausible values to outcomes according to the agreed scale score range, IRT assumption checking, sub-score analysis and item reporting based on the above analysis are also required.
  • Work alongside the STA senior psychometrician whilst we undertake quality assurance of the analysis. Any deviations or discrepancies will need to be discussed and addressed to our satisfaction.
