description

During meetings with DECC, in 2014, Storelectric Ltd, has presented high-level overviews of its proposed compressed air energy storage (CAES) technology. The technology could lead to significant energy system cost reductions if it lives up to the company’s expectations. As such DECC are keen to get the company to do some additional technical analysis to help to prove the feasibility of the Storelectric system specifically within the context of the UK electricity system. DECC requires further analysis to be completed to be able to assess the potential of the technology proposed by Storelectric to provide capacity services and/or long term storage, for DECCs Innovation Programme Development.
