description

We are looking for one data analyst to help us refine our initial set of cost assessment models in the area of enhancement / residential retail services. The successful candidate may also be asked to provide data analyst support on other areas of cost assessment.

Enhancement expenditure refers to expenditure for the purpose of enhancing the capacity or quality of service beyond current levels. The enhancement expenditure may be driven by a number of factors, including population growth, new statutory obligations and strategic prioritisation by company Boards (which should be in consultation with their customers).

Key responsibility and outputs

The key output is the development of robust models and analytical approaches to assess cost efficiency in enhancement activities. The successful candidate may also be asked to provide data analysis support on other areas of cost assessment.

We require one data analyst experienced in data exploration and modelling of cost information. The successful candidate will support us developing a range of methods to analyse cost information on enhancement activities and benchmark enhancement costs across companies within the sector and also against relevant comparators outside the sector (where applicable). The methods will be used as part of our PR19 methodology to assess efficiency in the water sector.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the cost assessment team. The candidate will need to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment, with colleagues across the cost assessment team.
