description
Wiltshire Council children's social care services needs the ability to spot purchase from a framework agreement of suitable providers where independent expertise is required and to cover peaks in workload. This includes specialist forensic and relationship testing.
- Services required
Specialist forensic tests including but not limited to:
- oDNA testing for paternity (including sampling and collection where appropriate). In most cases this will be for 2 adults and 1 child, or 1 adult and 1 child.
- oPaternity test will include an analysis provided for the court.
- oDrug and alcohol testing (including sampling and collection where appropriate) - this can take place in pre-proceedings or in proceedings.
This will include but not be limited to drug testing for the following main groups:

Drug testing is to be done through a hair strand test.
Alcohol testing will include a hair strand test as well as liver function, CDT and full blood count.
Drug and alcohol tests will include a full expert court report. The expert may also be required to attend court either in person or via video link.
