Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole will be jointly going out to tender for it's Care and Support at Home contracts next year. Care and Support at Home (known as domiciliary care and community home care) is a key option for people across Bournemouth and Poole, to help them to maintain independence and live at home for longer. We hope to be delivering these services from September 2017. The length of the contract will be for 5 years with the option to extend by an additional 2 years.
We will be holding a Market Engagement day to share details with you about this exciting opportunity and what the tender may mean if you are current provider or if you would like to work with Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole. The meeting will be at Hamworthy Club, Magna Road, Poole, BH21 3AP on the 24th January 2017, 9am-12:30 Places are limited and we will be restricting places to 2 per organisation. Please contact to confirm your attendance by Monday 16th January 2017. If you are interested in attending this session please can you email procurement@bournemouth.gov.uk to reserve your place.
If you do not attend this meeting it will not preclude you from participating in the tender when it is officially advertised. The tender will be advertised in 2017 on the Council's procurement portal; www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk.
You will need to ensure that your organisation is registered on this site in order to access the documents once the tender goes live, as the complete tender process will be undertaken electronically.
