Early Intervention & Prevention services - Tier 1 - Community Wellbeing

We are looking for the provision of a range of social group schemes and supportive interventions that reduce isolation in older people aged 65+ across the borough.

The services will support older people to maintain good quality social relationships and provide opportunities to enable them to develop social networks. The service design will be dependent on the local context, local provision and the needs and wishes of local citizens.

This will include the provision of services that encourage and support older people to access mainstream services and/or activities using existing community assets within their local area.

The range of services will include the offer of centre based social club and other social group activities that provide older people the opportunity to have social interaction with others.

We are looking for services to be provided in each of the 11 LSOA's where social isolation has been identified as an issue. In addition we are looking for the delivery of sessions in Helsby, Kelsall, Tarporley, Tattenhall and Malpas. Where transport is an issue we expect the service provider to offer a solution to this.

The providers are expected to deliver a service for a minimum of 120 service users a quarter and a minimum of 26 centre based sessions per week. We expect the sessions to provide activities as well as food and run for a minimum of 3 hours.
