A Fostering Recruitment Service

Dorset County Council has recently made the decision to change the way we provide fostering services. We are deeply committed to providing the best possible care for children, close to home and so have ambitious plans to significantly increase the number of foster carers in Dorset. We have redesigned the way our fostering team provides assessment and support services, and are investing in changing our fees and allowances to make them simpler, more competitive and to reward those that are highly skilled.

We are looking for an organisation to work with us to help us deliver on this ambition. An organisation that is able to get our message out, generate enquiries and follow up potential leads including initial home visits/carer evaluations ensuring that when we undertake assessments of potential foster carers that these are focused on those that have the best chance of being approved.

Dorset County Council is therefore seeking tenders from suitably experienced and capable service providers for fostering recruitment services.

The contract will cover the period 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019, and an optional extension for a further 12 months.

(Light Touch Regime) This procurement is considered to be applicable under Chapter 3 section 7 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
