Hackney Energy Company White Label Energy Supplies

The Council is seeking to enter into a long term contractual relationship with a fully licensed energy operator who will work with the Council's a uniquely branded energy supply company that is being established, under a White Label arrangement, to supply renewable energy to local residents and the wider UK public.

The Council has a long-term objective for decarbonization of the borough and is therefore looking for a Supply Partner who will use the platform that is provided by the Council's branded company to supply energy to customers that will be recruited by the Council. As part of the delivery of the proposed contract with the Council, the Supply Partner is expected to guarantee long term supply of 100% electricity from renewable sources and to also actively work towards complete decarbonisation of gas supplies

As the Council has the ambition for local generation by utilizing 50% of the Council roof space for the solar panels installation, the Supply Partner will in future be required to work with Council to progress this scheme and secure its part of its portfolio of renewable products from the scheme's energy generation
