Highways England is looking to set up a contract with a Contractor to undertake a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling study, to:
| - | Identify the optimal design of a solid roadside barrier, with regard to |
| a) | the extent to which it reduces pollutant concentrations in its lee; |
| b) | the extent to which it changes on-road pollutant concentrations, with respect to road users; and |
| c) | the cost and practicality of its construction; |
| - | Reveal more about the airflow and dispersion around such barriers. |
