description
NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group is planning to commence procurement for a Level 1 Community Physiotherapy Service. The contract is expected to be for up to 4 years (3 years initial term, with a 1 year option to extend) and to commence February 2018. The likely annual contract value is up to £1.5 million.

The objectives of the service include:
| • | Providing services located across Milton Keynes, thereby providing patients with choice of where they receive treatment |
| • | Delivering clinically effective treatments which enable patients to reach their individual treatment goals as soon as possible; reduce the demand on secondary care (acute) services; and reduces the need for more costly interventions |
| • | Improve patient quality of life, including the ability to return to work and improved pain management |
| • | Providing and promoting a strong emphasis on prevention, patient education and self-management thereby promoting active, healthy lifestyles and reducing the recurrence of injury and/or illness |
| • | Providing feedback, advice and guidance to referring clinicians as to how conditions can be managed within primary care where appropriate |
| • | Ensuring that patients are seen by clinicians with the relevant skills, experience and qualifications. |
