description
The Foresters’ Forest Landscape Partnership Programme for the Forest of Dean is a Heritage Lottery Funded programme that is currently in the Development stage which runs until 5th Nov 2016 when the Stage Two application will be submitted. If successful, the Foresters’ Forest will then move into a 5 year delivery phase running from April/May 2017 to 2022. The focus of the programme is about what makes the Forest of Dean special and to raise awareness and participation in the built, natural and cultural heritage.
There is a need to create a monitoring and evaluation methodology to encompass the Foresters’ Forest programme overall and its constituent 50 projects. This is summarised below:
| • | To create a toolkit of qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluation methods that is appropriate for the programme overall and its 50 different projects, tailored to the various audiences involved. |
| • | To establish a comprehensive baseline using those qualitative and quantitative methods, such that subsequent measures at successive intervals collect the evidence to prove that the programme and its constituent projects have made a difference over time. |
| • | To monitor and evaluate the delivery of the Foresters’ Forest programme and its constituent projects, using the methods created. |
| • | To produce reports and presentations of data for the programme management team and HLF summarising the monitoring and evaluation activities and performance against outcomes, outputs and indicators. |
