Structure SUX/4A, Bramshall tunnel, is a 294m long, bored tunnel, horseshoe in profile designed to accommodate a single track constructed circa 1867. It is located approximately 5km south west of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

The works involve laying imported, clean granular, free-draining fill (Class 6C or similar approved) to the tunnel solum, to the depths shown on the contract drawings, to facilitate safe underfoot conditions for future examinations and maintenance works.
