BUS STOP PRINTED TIMETABLE POSTING SERVICE: Pilot Scheme

Essex County Council are keen to explore potential interest for the supply of a Bus Stop Printed Timetable Posting Service which will run as an initial pilot scheme. The council wish to follow by engaging with potential suppliers who register an interest for this service.

ECC are working to help with the recovery of bus services in Essex Post-Covid by centralising the coordination of bus stop printed timetable posting.

The pilot scheme will see the Council's Local Bus timetable artworks posted by an agreed supplier, with agreed monthly posting schedules.

Essex County Council will be responsible for producing and printing local bus timetable artworks in line with route registration changes.

The agreed supplier will be responsible for the posting of roadside timetable artworks at bus stops, evidencing the posting at each stop and completing each posting ahead of service change. Piloted contract length to be confirmed.

Additional information: • ECC expect to produce around 6,000 artworks per annum for posting. Peak months for workload correlate with the general trends of national bus changes (April and September).

• Artworks printed by the Council's preferred print supplier and couriered to suppliers for posting.

• Timetable material will be provided in typically three sizes: 32cm x 43cm | 32cm x 74cm | 32cm x 101cm - large ES-ECC3, although some bespoke sizes may be produced over lifespan of pilot.
