Server Hardware Maintenance 2018

Portsmouth City Council (the Authority) is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for this project.

The Authority houses all the necessary hardware required to deliver an IT service to the residents of Portsmouth in the Civic Offices Data Centre (and a few satellite buildings in the City). This hardware needs to be maintained and fixed when it breaks.

The IT services are provisioned to be available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and as such, it is vital that any faulty equipment is fixed within four (4) hours (with appropriate parts and to the right technical specification), allowing the Authority to continue to provide 99.99% system availability.

The contract will commence on 1 December 2018.

The initial Contract period will be for three (3) years with the possibility of extending the term by a further two (2) years to a maximum total term of five (5) years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.
