description

The Black Country and West Birmingham Integrated Care System has a requirement for the provision of a system analysis across the Black Country for CYP with complex needs

In this instance vulnerable CYP with complex needs between the ages of 0-18 are considered to be those who experience some of the highest levels of health inequality.

Their needs are defined as 'complex', as they often are:

Multiple (i.e. not just in one domain, such as mental and physical health);
Persistent (i.e. long term rather than transient, including for example learning disability, autism or both);
Severe (i.e. not responding to standard interventions); and
Framed by family and social contexts (i.e. early family disruption, loss, inequality, prevalence of Adverse Childhood Experiences).

The purpose of this project is to scope and identify system change that will enable the partnership to deliver on the framework for integrated care.
