NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (NHS Arden & GEMCSU) on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (East) (referred to as the Commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to bid via an open tender process the provision for Primary Medical GP Services for the following two Health Centres:
| • | Lot 1: - St Luke’s Health Centre located in Southend on Sea Essex. |
| • | Lot 2: - Thurrock Health Centre located in Grays Essex. |
Both new contracts are scheduled to commence from the 1st April 2016 for a contract period of 10 years with the option to extend for up to a further 5 years
The key objective of this procurement for both Lots is to commission able provider/s through the most current NHS England Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. These services must be provided by GPs and nurses and the Provider/s will be expected to deliver:
| • | NHS England is seeking providers of primary care services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive |
| • | The provider/s must design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment |
| • | The provider/s must have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction |
| • | The provider/s must have processes in place to engage effectively with the local communities |
| • | Providers will be expected to participate in Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) |
| • | The provider/s will be eligible for and expected to provide a range of Enhanced Services, remunerated in line with the relevant Directions and specified by the commissioner on an annual basis. |
Bidders can bid for one or both of the above Lots within this tendering opportunity. Estimated contract values for both Lots are detailed within the Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents.
Site visits for both Lots will be possible, the dates and times will be communicated via the e-Tendering portal (Bravo) to bidders that have registered an expression of interest.
