description
One-day workshop with NGOs and businesses in Washington and also does further analytical work on the current environmental pledges made by the transport sector. This is the preferred option as it provides the greatest likelihood of DECC achieving the objectives of the calculator by boosting the engagement process with our target audience in a key part of the world, and with stakeholders in the transport sector. Having a full-day workshop will allow businesses and stakeholders to get more out of the tool and become more engaged, as they will be able to listen to others and compare pathways. This dynamic is likely to produce more interesting results for the report.
This option also offers value for money as it is an efficient way to deal with a lot of stakeholders, and our timeframe before the COP is very short. This option also uses the existing expertise of WRI on the Global Calculator and the energy and climate change sector. The event may also set a template which we could replicate in other key countries with other partners, if successful.
