This is not an invitation to bid.
The Department for Education (DfE) is inviting organisations to take part in market engagement that will:
| • | establish supplier interest in; |
| • | obtain market insights about; and |
| • | explore commercial options for |
The delivery of the ITT Scholarships programme by organisations working in partnership with the Department for Education.
The programme is one of a range of initiatives to boost teacher supply in priority subjects. Aimed at high quality subject experts, who might not have otherwise considered teaching a viable career option, scholarships are awarded to the most gifted teacher trainees in physics, maths, chemistry, computing, modern foreign languages or geography. Scholars receive a tax-free bursary and wraparound support during their teacher-training year.
We want insights on the market offer to enable scholars to become the next generation of outstanding teachers and use their enhanced subject knowledge/skills during a successful teaching career.

Interested organisations should complete the questionnaire attached to this notice and submit it to itt.scholarships@education.gov.uk by 20 April 2018.
Please note that this Notice is not a call to competition and the DfE is not bound to enter into any procurement activity because of it.
Scheduled date for publication of notice: May 2018
Start and End dates of Contract: September 2018 to August 2021 though this is an estimate only and will be further informed by responses.

Timescales
Organisations interested in expressing an interest as a potential provider would be need to be able to mobilise their provision with the intention of recruiting in autumn 2018 to deliver scholarships from 2019/20.
