description

The Commissioners view this as a strategically important service that supports numerous key initiatives relating to improved community-based care for people in Surrey, and as such linked to common outcomes for both the health and social care sectors.

They are, therefore, seeking an experienced, competent and innovative provider who will work with them as a strategic business partner in a collaborative spirit of openness and trust and who will pro-actively support them in developing service initiatives that will deliver quality and value for the people of Surrey. The service provider will provide evidence of quality assured policies and procedures that will be applied to this service.

In general, this will be achieved by the service provider being able to effectively source, store, deliver, fit, demonstrate, maintain, collect, clean, refurbish and offer technical advice on equipment, as well as to install and where necessary, construct, adaptations.

The commissioners will expect and encourage a successful provider to use their experience and knowledge to make submissions that may innovate and expand on what is defined within the specification in order to promote and deliver a more effective service. Any proposals may be included within the content of the various associated as part of their general submission and/or with reference to the Tender Questions, but they must be clearly defined and expressed. There is an expectation that, where agreed, these proposals will be incorporated and adhered to as part of the contract with the successful service provider.

This is a statutory service requirement and SCC will be leading the commissioning and procurement on behalf of the 6 (7) Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) and can therefore call off from this contract. They're as follows:

  • East Surrey,
  • Guildford and Waverley,
  • North East Hampshire and Farnham,
  • North West Surrey,
  • Surrey Downs,
  • Surrey Heath,
  • (Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead).

This is a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 1-year periods.
