The Derbyshire Commissioner's led by Hardwick CCG have evidence that suggests that engaging and involving patients in the planning, design and delivery of health and social care support and service provision can lead to more joined-up, co-ordinated and efficient services that are responsive to local community needs. Public participation can also help to build partnerships with communities and identify areas for service improvement. By involving service receivers and carers in engagement activities, it can make a significant difference by improving outcomes and positively influence service delivery.
The commissioners are looking to procure a mental health engagement service to ensure a sustainable model that is fully inclusive and can provide a wide range of opportunities for service receiver and carer involvement.
