Northamptonshire County Council - Older Persons' Residential and Nursing Home Services DPS

Northamptonshire County Council is re-opening the DPS (Dynamic Purchasing System) for Older Persons' Residential and Nursing Home Services please see OJEU notice for details - https://ted.europa.eu/TED/notice/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:157547-2017:TEXT:EN:HTML and is now inviting Providers to apply in order to be accepted onto the DPS. The DPS is a Light Touch Regime DPS is therefore opened in tranches; applications for this tranche must be uploaded onto the Portal by 14:00 hrs Tuesday 16th October 2018. Please note that if you have already been accepted on the DPS, you do not need to re-apply.

The Council has been moving forward with a new approach since the DPS was originally set up to support residential and nursing placements through Preferred Provider and brokerage systems. The new brokerage service has been working with Preferred Providers to help older people easily and quickly source care of their choice that is of good quality, local and affordable. Providers are asked to apply to the DPS to become a Preferred Provider of the Council. Preferred Providers will be those that contract for, and make available affordable residential and nursing beds, in relation to the local Council's Expected to Pay Rate.

PLEASE NOTE: The Council is looking to use the DPS in order to source interim beds on block contracts at the end of October 2018; mini competitions will be carried out with Providers who have been accepted onto the DPS for those requirements; Providers who wish to apply for those mini competitions must be on the DPS or apply at the latest by 14:00 hrs Tuesday 16th October 2018. Please ignore the dates shown on the Contract dates. This Round will be open until 1400 hrs Tuesday 16th October 2018.
