Walsall Council is seeking a suitably qualified, resourced and experienced contractor for the annual safety inspections of outdoor children's playgrounds, multi-use games areas, skate parks, outdoor fitness equipment and splash play areas.
The annual safety inspections are required to be completed each July for a period of 3 years (2022 - 2025), with the potential for the Council to extend for a further 2 years (30/06/27).
The requirement is to inspect and record through Public Sector Software (PSS):
- o60 outdoor play areas.
- o32 multi-use games areas (MUGA's) 26 on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities, and 6 standalone sites.
- o10 skate facilities (9 on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities, and 1 standalone site)
- o13 outdoor fitness areas/trim trails (all on or connected to Play Area sites/other facilities)
- o3 splash play facilities (all on Play Area sites)
