Sensory Service - EOI

THIS IS AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST STAGE

Milton Keynes City Council is embarking on a tender process for the provision of a Sensory Service. To help us plan for this, we would like to invite you to comment on the proposed service specification.

If you are interested in the provision of the Sensory Service for Milton Keynes City Council you are invited to feedback your comments and observations on the Draft Specification.

The Council intends to review the comments and observations received before finalising the service to be procured.

The Council's intention for the Sensory Service is that it will:

• oLimit the extent to which a person's sensory impairment detrimentally impacts on their life, and the lives of their family; and
• oMake a positive contribution to the successful local achievement of relevant outcomes set out in health and social care national legislation, guidance and frameworks for the Council.

The Sensory Service will do this by delivering:

• oAn open access Preventative Service, helping people remain independent.
• oAssistance to the Council to fulfil its social care statutory Assessment and Support Planning responsibilities
• oAn Eye Clinic Liaison Service
• oA Hearing Aid Support Service
• oTraining

The budget for the project is approximately ?210,000.00 PA.
