In recognition of the fact that sectoral thinking about incorporating energy efficiency and sustainability measures into capital projects has advanced in the last four years, and that much more good practice guidance is now available alongside greater access to case studies and exemplars, HLF would now like to commission consultants to carry out a second research project to consider how HLF-funded organisations’ awareness of our environmental impact guidelines and expectations has changed and to investigate the extent to which HLF (and other) guidance is now being followed and sustainable measures are being employed in HLF-funded projects. The research has two components:

  • A.A review of recent grantees’ (those funded post 2012) engagement with the environmental guidance to establish:
  • B.An update of the case studies produced as a result of the previous research
