PP15096 - Civic Halls Asbestos Removal 2015

THE SITE Description: The building comprises two general purpose halls originally intended to be used for assembly purposes, music festivals, public meetings, amateur theatricals etc. The larger of the two Halls is The Civic Hall and the smaller hall is the Wulfrun Hall. EXISTING BUILDINGS ON/ ADJACENT TO THE SITE Description: The existing surrounding buildings/areas adjacent to the site will be in constant use throughout the contract period. The Contractor must ensure the safety of personnel as well as the maintenance of all services. THE WORKS The Works comprise the removal and or remediation of Asbestos in advance of the main Internal Refurbishment Works. THE CONTRACT The Contract: JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2011 Edition issued September 2011. Amendment 1 Issued March 2015. Please note it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire asbestos removal works.
