BAE Systems Air Sector - Supply Chain Capability Portal - Generic Request for Information (Second Wave)

BAE Systems Air has a long and proud heritage in the development, manufacture, upgrade and support of world-leading combat and fast jet trainer aircraft.

We operate across the globe in multiple markets to support our customers across the whole product life cycle from design, development and production, through to the provision of aircraft, training, support and maintenance.

To achieve this, we collaborate with partners large and small from within and beyond the defence sector, both from the UK and around the globe.

In 2021, the Air Sector developed a Supply Chain Capability Portal, which has been widely utilised to understand alignment between the supply chain and potential customer requirements, directing future engagement across a number of projects.

Initially the portal captured supply chain information in the following system areas: Displays & Controls, Electrical Power System, Flight Control System, Thermal Management, Communication Systems, Navigation, Computing and Landing Gear.

The scope of the portal is now being expanded to cover a second wave of systems, capturing information in these additional areas: Airspace Integration, Armaments, Fuel, Ice Protection & Detection System, Mission Management, Mission System - Software, Prognostic Health Management, Vehicle / Flight Systems Software.
