National Park Experience Collection: Business Support North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales

The North York Moors National Park Authority is seeking professional business support services to provide training and expertise to local experience and accommodation providers in both the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks who will form part of the new National Parks Experience Collection.

England's National Parks Authorities are working together to position these iconic national park landscapes as a core product for overseas visitors to England. Peak District National Park Authority, acting as the accountable body for nine NPAs in England, has secured funding from the Discover England Fund, and will introduce a new collection of National Park Experiences to the overseas travel trade in Australia and Germany by March 2019.

Research has highlighted a shortage of businesses in regional England that have the ability to work with the international travel trade.

This contract will provide intense business support to five accommodation providers and five experience providers in both the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales (20 in total) to ensure they are travel trade ready with a product/experience which resonates with our target markets.

The provider will also be required to hold group workshops in both the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales for businesses on the following topics: Welcoming the Australian and German visitors, working with the international travel trade, experiential tourism and developing a product to fit the experience framework plan for each National Park.
