description
The Department for Education (DfE) is exploring the different training content and delivery mechanisms needed to produce a high quality, evidence-based training package that will be made available to the Designated Senior Leads for mental health in schools and colleges.
Over the past few months, the DfE has started market engagement, by inviting potential providers to provide written feedback about the proposed scope of the training and delivery model options.
Following on from this valuable engagement, the DfE will now be running two face-to-face provider engagement events on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th March. Both events will run from 11.00-16.00 at the following venues:-
| 1) | Wednesday 13th March - Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus, Howard Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire, S1 1WB |
| 2) | Thursday 14th March - Victory Services Club (VSC), 63-79 Seymour Street, London, W2 2HF |
At these events the DfE will share the preferred procurement route, and allow potential providers to discuss and feedback on any key issues or obstacles. The DfE will also present key features of the specification and outline other factors such as the payment mechanism and IP approach. Potential suppliers with a strong understanding of positive approaches to children and young people's mental health, particularly in the context of the whole school, are encouraged to attend.
Please note:-
| - | Attendance confirmation will be issued on a 'first-come first-served' basis and attendance will be limited to two delegates per organisation |
| - | In the instance that demand exceeds available spaces, priority will be given to attendees from potential supplier organisations |
If you are a provider and would like to apply to attend this event please send an email to DSL.MH@education.gov.uk stating which two delegates will be attending and which venue you would like to attend by Friday 1st March. We will send out confirmation emails confirming your attendance and venue on Monday 4th March.
The DfE is not committing to undertake any formal commissioning activity resulting from this notice although we may use the information gathered via this process to support any future commercial activity. For any further queries relating to this event or the Designated Senior Lead for mental health training, please email our designated mailbox at DSL.MH@education.gov.uk
