Provision of In-house medical cover for Community Hospitals

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a supplier to provide GP Services to the following Community Hospitals: Sedgefield Community Hospital, Richardson Community Hospital and Weardale Community Hospital. The awarded provider will be required to supply a range of GP Services including but not limited to providing cover from 08:00 hours – 20:00 hours, seven days a week. The cover will include one ward round every day and the GP will be on-call during the contracted hours if urgent/emergency care or advice is required. The provider will be required to work with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams and must review prescribed medication and treatment in the patients’ health care records and undertake all appropriate admission documentation. The contract will be for three years with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12months. This opportunity is advertised in three lots due to the geographical location. Contractors are permitted to apply for one lot, two lots or all lots. The lots are:

Lot 1- Richardson Community Hospital

Lot 2- Sedgefield Community Hospital

Lot 3- Weardale Community Hospital
