description

London Borough of Hackney and the City of London Corporation are re-procuring Oral Health Promotion and Prevention services to reduce the prevalence of tooth decay and improve oral hygiene. Current universal services include oral health promotion through training (for children, adults, and wider workforce) and distribution of fluoride products, alongside strategic work. Current targeted services involve Supervised Toothbrushing for 2-4 year olds in nurseries and all children in special schools, a Fluoride Varnish Programme for Reception and Year 1 children in primary schools, specific oral health promotion for Orthodox Jewish communities, and support for care homes to meet oral health quality standards.

The council is interested in engaging with organisations with expert clinical knowledge of oral health. We aim to engage with these organisations to understand the best models to deliver elements of the service.
