Expression of Interest for APMS GP Service for St Thomas Road Surgery, Normanton

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SDCCG) are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers to deliver Alternative Primary Medical Services in Derby City. This Primary Medical Care Service contract has an anticipated start date of 1st October 2016 as the existing contract will cease on 30th September 2016. The current provision is provided from St Thomas Road Surgery.

The successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver service(s) of a continuously high-quality and will be responsive to the needs of the diverse local population. The Provider will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the quality required. There will be a requirement to deliver General Practitioner (GP) Services from existing premises. These services must be provided by GPs and Nurses and the provider will be expected to deliver:

• High quality Primary Medical Services responsive to the needs of the local population.
• Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health.
• Essential services.
• All additional services.
• All Enhanced Services commissioned by NHS England and SDCCG.
• Increased access.

Potential providers with relevant capability & experience to deliver this service are required to express an interest if they are interested in bidding for this service should Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups decide to carry out a competitive tender exercise and publishes a Contract Notice for this requirement. Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the CCG’s decision making process. This does not commit the CCG’s to a carry out a procurement process. Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the CCG’s decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement.
