description
The supplier will provide support to the Authority to deliver the outcomes of the Local Digital Programme.
The supplier will deliver outcomes across Local Digital objectives which are as follows:
- Work closely with councils to develop tried and tested routes for improving the usability, accessibility and security of local services. This will involve working closely with councils to curate a series of interventions to improve digital maturity and improve council services.
- Ensure councils have the skills, knowledge and tools they need to design and deliver modern digital public services. The Authority is working closely with councils to ensure they have the skills they need to be modern and resilient organisations.
- Ensure councils have better access to key business systems that follow the standards outlined in the Technology Code of Practice, which include being accessible, user-centred, cloud-first and secure. This includes the work of the Local Digital Fund, and a range of initiatives to ensure the local government technology market is more responsive to the needs of the sector.
The Authority has an internal Local Digital team in place however the demands of the 3 objectives will mean resource requirements will vary across the years and the Authority will require additional, flexible, specialist and temporary support to deliver outcomes required by the workstreams.
Additional information: The Contract is a Call-Off from Lot 1 of the Crown Commercial Service Digital Specialists and Programmes framework (RM6263).
