Housing Related Support

Housing related support services provide support which assists individuals to improve their quality of life and wellbeing by enabling them to live as independently as possible within the community. 1.2 Support can be short or longer term depending on the needs of the individual. Housing related support is provided to prevent people from requiring a more intensive or institutional form of care or support. It is also provided as a means of addressing an emergency situation (e.g. domestic violence refuge and homeless accommodation). 1.3 The overall aim of providing housing related support is to prevent homelessness and provide individuals with the tools and skills to move to or maintain independence, reducing reliance on statutory services. A provider information session will take place on Monday 10th August starting 12:30 at Sunderland Civic Centre. Details of the session are included in the Information Session flyer included as part of the documentation.
